Lucy Lawless comes from New Zealand. She's an actor as well as a musician. Lucy Lawless was a popular actress and singer throughout New Zealand for a number of years. Of all the roles she played as an actor her work was praised and remembered for her amazing portrayal of Xena. Lucy was cast in the role which was supposed to be given for Vanessa Angel. However, she couldn't attend production due to ill health. It was a success because her performance as Xena was the catalyst for a spinoff to air in September, 1995. The spin-off series suffered another hit in its ratings as well as a cultural impact which made the show last until 6 seasons. It also helped boost Lucy's fame as an actress. Aside from becoming widely known as Xena by many viewers, she's also known for her recurring roles as Diane Lewis-Swanson in the hit sitcom on NBC Parks and Recreation during which she was on the show from 2012 to 2015.
