"When I turned 11 years old, I was approached by someone asking to enroll me on the gospel recording. I didn't want to do that," she says. "Then when McDonald's had a competition for kids in major cities I had the opportunity to sing 'Accept What God Gives' on Showtime on the Apollo and the audience were very supportive". At the age 13 she performed along with Stevie Wonder for his grandson's birthday. Sullivan signed her first contract with Jive Records when she was fifteen. There, she recorded an entire album. However, the album never came out. Sullivan was then dropped from the label. Her work had been in good relationship along with Missy Elliott.
